Question 7

The development team has asked for a new network to be configured where they can test booting new virtual machines from PXE images.

Requirements:
VMware web client login: administrator@vsphere.local / VMware1!

New Logical Switch: DHCP-Relay

Default gateway: 172.16.50.1 / 24

DHCP server: 192.168.110.10

Test VM Name: PXE VM
Host: esx-02a.corp.local
OS: Other Linux (64-bit)
Network: DHCP-Relay
Hard Disk: Remove the default VMDK
Leave all other VM settings at the default.

1) Create a new network named DHCP-Relay with a default gateway on the North/South router.
2) Ensure the new network can get DHCP addresses from the DHCP server.
3) Create a new virtual machine on the DHCP-Relay network and verify it can boot from the PXE image.
